About the Role
Talent Acquisition Partner (Parental Leave Contract) to cover a parental leave and support our hiring needs during a growth period. You’ll act as the primary Talent Acquisition Partner, owning day-to-day hiring delivery across the business while partnering closely with hiring managers and the People team. You’ll step into a newly refreshed hiring process, modern TA tools, and a supportive environment designed to help you succeed quickly. This is ideal for a seasoned recruiter who enjoys hands-on execution, clear ownership, and delivering a strong candidate experience at pace.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality hiring outcomes by:
Acting as the primary owner of full-cycle recruitment across all roles at commonsku, especially technical and go-to-market ones
Partnering with hiring managers to scope roles, define candidate profiles, and align on hiring priorities
Crafting and posting job ads, sourcing candidates, and managing pipelines
Conducting structured screens and recommending top candidates to hiring teams
Coordinating interviews, references, and offers with care and efficiency
Designing and maintaining candidate evaluation tools (e.g., scorecards) and supporting interviewer calibration
Delivering a thoughtful, delightfully human candidate experience from first contact through offer
Continuously enhance the functionality of our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) through automation, AI, and streamlined procedures
Maintaining accurate recruitment data and reporting to support insights and continuous improvement
Enabling hiring managers through guidance, interview support, and process coaching
Coordinating handoff to onboarding and partnering on improvements where appropriate
Supporting People team initiatives as needed, with hiring delivery as your primary focus
What You Bring
3–5+ years experience in a recruitment role or recruitment-heavy HR Generalist position, ideally in a fast-paced SaaS or tech-enabled environment
Proven experience hiring for software engineering and go-to-market roles at various levels
Comfort owning hiring end-to-end as a sole or primary recruiter in a well-supported environment
Experience maximizing modern ATS platforms (Teamtailor experience is a bonus)
Strong organizational and project management skills that mean you can juggle priorities without dropping the ball
Clear, confident written and verbal communication
Strong instincts for candidate experience, grounded in empathy and follow-through
A track record of sourcing, engaging, and landing passive talent, particularly via LinkedIn Recruiter
Strong decision-making skills to drive strategic hiring outcomes
Demonstrated ability to use data to inform decisions and measure recruitment performance
Experience building passive candidate pipelines, particularly for technical/engineering talent
Curiosity and experimentation with AI tools to support efficient, high-quality recruiting workflows
Compensation & Perks
The annual salary for this role is $85,000–$100,000 CAD, depending on experience and skillset. This role is eligible for a 10% company performance bonus (pro-rated). Plus:

Location
This role is open to candidates eligible to work in Canada, with the exception of Quebec. We’re remote-first, but if you’re based in Toronto, even better. That’s where we were founded and where we maintain our HQ today!
