Position Overview As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be a part of our Global Compliance & Reporting group and develop the technical proficiency and connectivity needed to address client issues. You will work within KNAV’s Canada tax practice, combining deep tax knowledge with a sophisticated understanding of business drivers to serve clients to the best of your ability.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate tax compliance and provision work for clients.

Lead a team of talented professionals dedicated to client service.

Provide Canadian corporate tax services, including tax accounting, tax accrual reviews, and corporate income tax returns.

Review GST/HST/QST returns, provide advice, and attend to CRA audits.

Address cross‑border Canadian tax implications and interpret tax treaties.

Prepare tax correspondence for direct and indirect tax (GST/HST/QST).

Stay up to date on trends, new developments, and tax authority decisions, and apply them to moderately complex situations.

Identify opportunities for providing tax planning and other special services.

Plan, organize, and deliver tax planning engagements for Canadian corporations.

Skills and Attributes for Success

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Solid management and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members.

Qualifications

CPA or CA qualification required.

CICA In‑depth tax course completed or ongoing, or Master of Tax degree.

Minimum of seven years relevant experience in tax, including experience as a senior manager.
