Position: Engineer, Automation Location:

Singapore , site:

Univac Site , Woodlands.

As an Engineer, Automation, you will:

Work closely with manufacturing operations and identify the needs for automated solution and provide the management with proposal on areas for improvement.

Design Automation Machine (Mechanical Design) using SolidWorks.

Design End of Arm Tooling for Robot (Mechanical Design).

Develop electrical design, schematics and drawings in AutoCAD.

Interpret mechanical design drawings.

Research supplier products for assembly components.

Help establish new and maintain existing standards.

Develop bill of materials.

Power up electrical systems and configure hardware per application specifications. Advantage

Establish IQ Validation Checklist According to the Machine Operation Manual for new Automation Machine.

Verify and validate all the safety features and Safety Interlocks of New Automation Machine.

Coordinate with the Vendor Regarding the Design Concept, Quotation, Lead Time and buying off the machine after completion.

Carry-Out the Validation Checklist after the New Automation Machine Installation in the Production Plant.

Ensure all the Documents will be hand over to Univac After Installation of the New Automation Machine.

Write PLC, HMI, Motion Control Programs for new Automation machine built in-house and other machine modification in the production floor. Advantage

Carry-out Program de-bugging testing and commissioning after machine completion built in house. Advantage

Conduct Training to technicians and operators for new machine operation and troubleshooting.

Comply with the company safety procedures.

Provide timely and detailed status updates.

Quality – Ensure standards are maintained in a highly regulated, process driven environment.

Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays to meet customer project commitments.

Able to identify areas for improvement in shop floor and give proposal including ROI.

Presentation skills on proposal to higher management.

What skills and experiences are we looking:

Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics/Robotics and Automation.

Sound knowledge on PLC programming, exposure to various robotics and programming preferred.

Good knowledge on most commonly used components in automation.

Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively with support groups and other departments.

Able to multi-task and communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.

Knowledge in Mechanical Design using Solid Works and on Automation Machine Conceptual Design.

Must have good knowledge on working with Keyence and Omron PLC programming.
