Mandatory Knowledge And Experience

Minimum of 10 years of working experience with solution design, systems integration, API builds/patterns, production support, DevOps, development, performance tuning and production incident triage/troubleshooting

Minimum of 10 years of implementation experience with cloud-based platforms and solutions (e.g. IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS) and the integration of cross-platform systems with cloud and on-prem solutions (including hybrid cloud)

Minimum of 10 years on evaluating risk mitigation strategies, designing and architecting cloud-based/cloud-integrated solutions for high-sensitivity data assets

Minimum of 7 years designing, developing, and implementing value-add components such as DevOps automation, scripts, workflows, data/code/infrastructure CI/CD pipelines with integration to version control

Stakeholder management experience to concurrently manage relationships with Corporate Security / Architecture, Privacy Office, Program Management Office, Steering Committees and leadership roles in a complex environment including multiple lines of business as well as IT domains

Experience in requirements gathering, elaboration, and design documentation including facilitation of agile sessions while managing partnership with multiple vendors and system integration partners both internal and external to the organization

Experience with scalable domain-based design, including architecture design and foundation for areas including (but not limited to) : order management, payment management, orchestration across domains including order fulfilment, payments, stock/inventory management

Leadership during solution discovery phases via employment of iterative design tactics that focuses and provides clarity for architecture and build teams, whilst ensuring that all system functional as well as non-functional requirements have been accounted for

Experience with development and implementation of an architectural design approach that feature both security-by-design and privacy-by-design principles, including frequent, constant and timely feedback from security/information privacy stakeholders

Implementation and project execution experience in an agile delivery model

Experience with research, option analysis and providing recommendations and strategic advice to senior management based on technical, strategic, as well as feasibility viewpoints, accounting for both business benefit as well as IT strategy considerations

Ability to evaluate risk mitigation strategies and architecting cloud-based solutions for high-sensitivity data assets.

Ability to evaluate different cloud-based resources/assets to develop interoperability solutions/integrations within a hybrid cloud environment

Experience with doing design options analysis in collaborative fashion with all key stakeholders, including Business Areas, Development/Operations teams, Cyber Security, Information Privacy Office, Product Owners, Product Managers, Testing teams.

Design experience employing API-centric microservices and/or domain-based services approach.

Agile architectural governance experience in support of projects delivering via Agile methodologies.

Communication/Project Management Skills – 5%

Experience in requirements gathering and documentation including facilitation of agile sessions while managing partnership with external vendors and system integrators

Ability to lead and translate communications with different stakeholders and management teams

Proven experience in managing relationships with Corporate Security / Architecture, Privacy Office, Business Areas, IT Operations, Development teams, External Delivery Partners

OPS Experience – 15%

Experience working in accordance with policies and procedures of Ontario Public Service. Experience with Ontario Government Information Technology standards (GO-ITS).
