Define the structure, presentation, and usability requirements of these information products, while ensuring that content complies with templates, standards, and rules.**Job Description****What NAV CANADA offers you:*** Challenging, team-oriented work environment.* Competitive compensation and benefits.* Defined benefit pension plan.* Opportunities for growth and development.* Flexible work arrangements.* Diverse and inclusive workforce.**Key Accountabilities:*** Designs and develops technical information products that ensures that all information is clear and concise, easily retrieved, and technically accurate for all NAV CANADA operational units.* Designs, structures, and codes information for multiple outputs, and specific audiences to satisfy specific operational requirements.* Determines the schedule and milestones of information development projects using project management processes. Working within the project scope and with available resources, ensures efficient and timely delivery and user acceptance.* Defines standards, rules, and authoring guidelines to produce consistent, repeatable, and easy-to-maintain information products.* Facilitates teams of operational subject matter experts in the development and delivery of operational publications.* Assess subject-matter experts and other stakeholders feedback to resolve issues in organization and process.**Job Requirements****Education:*** Graduation with a three (3) year undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.**Experience:*** Ten (10) years of experience in information development indicating expertise in the field of technical communication.* Research, analysis, and development of data for publication.* Use of plain English and controlled vocabulary as part of an active and consistent writing style.* Selection and application of the appropriate data presentation and output format for specific users and tasks.* Operation of software systems required for professional technical publications.* Development of procedural, reference, or training products.**Knowledge:*** Information development methodologies and standards.* Presentation, structure and organization of technical information.* A structured XML publishing tool such as Oxygen.* Document and revision control in SharePoint.* Component Content Management Systems.* DITA XML.* SharePoint Online.**Abilities:*** Research issues and develop solutions, including gathering and organizing information from multiple sources.* Effectively plan, organize, and prioritize to meet deadlines.* Convert complex technical information into clear, concise, plain language.* Ability to apply the results of the analysis to develop customized information products.**Personal Suitability:*** Persistent in discovering alternative solutions to address complex problems.* Establish rapport and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues.* Demonstrate initiative, judgment, reliability, decisiveness, curiosity and tact.* A motivated self-starter, effective interpersonal skills, who displays a positive attitude and is service and goal oriented.**Working conditions:*** Work involves sitting for prolonged periods of time while performing tasks on a computer and attending meetings.* Occasional Travel required.**Flexible work arrangements:*** This position is a hybrid position with a minimum – 3 day(s) per week on site.NAV CANADA is committed to building a skilled, diverse workforce reflective of Canadian society.
