Construction Technician – Team Lead Schedule:

7 AM – 4 PM

About the Role We’re looking for a Construction Technician Team Lead to oversee daily operations in our modular unit refurbishment bay. This role blends leadership with hands‑on technical work. You’ll guide a small team, coordinate job assignments, ensure quality standards are met, and support construction tasks ranging from repairs to light framing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, train, and support a small team of construction technicians

Oversee daily workflow for cleaning, refurbishing, and repairing modular units

Perform hands‑on repairs using hand and power tools

Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards

Coordinate job assignments and updates using basic computer tools

Assist with setups and field tasks as needed

Support construction activities including framing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC

Troubleshoot issues, delegate tasks, and keep projects on schedule

Build minor walls, repair wheels, and complete carpentry‑related tasks

What You Bring

3–5 years of construction, renovation, or modular unit experience

Strong proficiency with hand and power tools

Working knowledge of framing, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC basics

Experience mentoring or leading small crews (formal or informal)

Ability to coordinate tasks and communicate clearly

Basic computer skills for scheduling and job coordination

Carpentry experience or construction certifications are a plus

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greater Sudbury, ON.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $34.00/hr.

Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Greater Sudbury, ON.
