Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner plans and coordinates the execution of scheduled maintenance work at the plant. They manage subcontractors and ensure performance objectives are met (Health & Safety, Quality, Cost, Timeliness, Engagement, Environment) within a collaborative culture. They are responsible for maintaining and improving the CMMS by integrating best practices in preventive and predictive maintenance. The planner works closely with maintenance supervisors, the GOP supervisor, electromechanics, subcontractors, and coordinators from other departments.

Salary range 004: $73 000 to $91, 200 (Base salary will be determined based on academic background, experience, training, and job-related skills.)

Whatโ€™s involved in this role:

Coordinating mechanical and sanitary maintenance work through work orders in the CMMS.

Prioritizing tasks in collaboration with various plant stakeholders.

Managing the use of Guide Ti as the CMMS and deploying improvements based on best practices.

Supervising subcontractors on-site for daily modifications and/or corrective actions.

Planning resources and parts needed for successful scheduled interventions.

Ensuring the supply of necessary parts for planned maintenance.

Analyzing and tracking the history of interventions on equipment and validating root causes of discrepancies using reliability best practices.

Implementing the Operational Excellence Program (AOS) in maintenance and ensuring continuous improvement initiatives.

Optimizing the maintenance system including planning, scheduling, kitting, 5S, and other processes.

Participating in failure analysis, continuous improvement of operations, and initiating problem-solving with work teams.

Ensuring compliance with health & safety, environmental, and sanitation programs, and enforcing the quality plan (ISO, HACCP, SQF).

Actively participating in various plant committees and project deployments.

What you need to join our team:

Diploma in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.

3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role in a unionized environment.

Experience in the food industry (an asset).

Technical knowledge in mechanics, automation, electricity, instrumentation, and control.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS programs (Guide Ti is an asset).

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (English required to work with colleagues from other Canadian provinces).
