Position Director, Communications

Job Description Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications TD Wealth, the Director of Communications supports and leads the delivery and execution of strategic pan‑Wealth initiatives and programs. The role requires exceptional writing and relationship management skills, strong business acumen, effective time management, and a commitment to quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Manage development and execution of communications strategies for projects and initiatives, from needs assessment to distribution.

Provide communication guidance to the Wealth executive team and domain experts.

Create executive content and messaging that aligns with strategic initiatives.

Champion communications best practices and advocate for an exceptional colleague and client experience.

Manage relationships with enterprise partners to coordinate communication activities.

Monitor and analyze effectiveness of communications and recommend improvements.

Develop and execute business communication strategies and lead all tactics and deliverables.

Act as strategic communications partner to project teams, providing counsel and regular status updates.

Produce high‑impact communications across multiple formats (written, intranet, video, virtual, face‑to‑face) using TD’s corporate standards.

Qualifications

Post‑secondary/university degree in a business‑related discipline.

Minimum seven years of communications experience, preferably in the wealth industry.

Exceptional writing, editing, proofing, and presentation skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand voice and style.

Self‑starter capable of managing complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.

Ability to deliver results within challenging timelines.

Flexibility to adapt to changing initiatives or requirements.

Solid knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio).

Experience

Undergraduate degree.

7+ years relevant experience.

Fluency in French and English is an asset.
