Position Title: Production Manager – Carpentry Foreperson (NOC 72013)

Job Summary Dream Stairs and Railings is looking for a skilled Production Manager with a focus on woodworking to oversee our manufacturing processes and ensure efficiency in production operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in woodworking, European building technologies, and project management. Projects include developing technical drawings, installation, and production of custom wood components such as structural beams, CLT, cabinetry, staircases, door systems, and window systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

Develop conceptual and technical drawings

Manage inventory

Coordinate and communicate with production/manufacturing teams

Lead production of custom woodworking components

Handle shipping and export processes

Supervise production staff to meet quality and productivity goals

Collaborate with architects and structural engineers

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

Experience & Skills

Master’s certification in carpentry and business administration

Working at heights and WHMIS certification

Managerial experience in a manufacturing environment

5+ years of experience in production or woodworking

Knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD

Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with German machinery and tools

Experience implementing lean manufacturing practices

Ability to lead teams effectively

Employment Type Full-time, permanent, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week

Language of Work: English

Wage: $32 – $35 based on experience

Location: Sault Ste. Marie and surrounding area
