Mobile Heavy Equipment Maintenance Planner (online) Contract: 6‑Month Term (Potential Full-Time)

Location: Work from Home / Remote

Industry: working with Mining / Heavy Mobile Equipment

Salary: Industry standard based on experience, knowledge, and online work

About the Role We are seeking an Online Mobile Maintenance Planner to support heavy mobile equipment maintenance for mining operations. This role focuses on online planning, SAP PM data accuracy, and building efficient maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. Strong potential for full‑time employment after the contract.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and long‑term maintenance for mobile equipment.

Review work requests and create detailed job plans and job packages (BOMs, SOPs, safety requirements, special tools).

Maintain and update

SAP , PMWork Orders, Master Data, PM Task Lists, and Corrective TaskLists.

Track backlog, PM compliance, parts availability, and long‑lead items.

Support maintenance KPIs, reliability initiatives, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of maintenance planning experience (natural resources / mining industry preferred).

Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment maintenance.

Proficiency in SAP PM (Work Orders, Master Data, Task Lists).

Able to build and maintain PM and corrective task lists.

Master at Microsoft Excel;

make high level Pivot tables, formulas, coding, reports.

Ability to read technical drawings and OEM documentation.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Comfortable working fully online.

Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and technical teams through virtual meetings.

Preferred

Mining industry experience (surface or underground).

Ontario Mining Common Core Certification.

Background as Heavy Equipment Technician, Millwright, or Engineering/Technology.

Power BI – Expert user.

Able to build and maintain PM and corrective task lists.

Experience making Purchase Requisitions.

Contract Details

6‑month contract , flexible hours.

Strong potential for full‑time hire.

Remote Planning work is done online.
