Job Description

Material Sales Engineer (Semiconductor Industry) The Material Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing and growing existing customer accounts in Singapore and Malaysia. The role requires basic knowledge of mechanical drawings and close coordination with internal engineering and production teams. Ability to develop new business opportunities will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities Customer Account Management

Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers in Singapore and Malaysia

Act as the main point of contact for technical and commercial matters

Ensure customer satisfaction through timely follow-ups and support

Drive repeat orders and long‑term partnerships

Technical & Commercial Support

Understand and review mechanical drawings and customer specifications

Coordinate with engineering and production teams on feasibility, costing, and delivery

Prepare quotations, proposals, and basic cost analysis

Support customers during new part introduction and production stages

Sales Development (Added Advantage)

Identify opportunities to increase business with existing customers

Support management in developing new customers and markets

Participate in sales visits, discussions, and presentations when required

Internal Coordination & Reporting

Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and customer requirements

Handle customer feedback, issues, and basic technical clarifications

Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and account updates

Ad hoc duties as assigned by management

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in sales or engineering within a precision manufacturing environment

Basic ability to read and understand mechanical drawings (GD&T knowledge is an advantage)

Experience dealing with customers in Singapore and/or Malaysia preferred

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Customer‑oriented and service‑minded

Basic commercial and negotiation skills

Willingness to travel within Singapore and Malaysia

Proficient in MS Office
