Reporting to the VP Experience Design for Adaptive Frameworks in ourExperience Foundations organization,you willadvance our mission torevolutionize the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry with advanced AIand MLcapabilitiesthroughgenerative, personalized,automated,and agentic experiences.You’ll be a critical partner indelighting and empowering millions of userswhilecontributing to thevision, unification, and cohesion efforts for our rapidly expanding Forma Industry Cloud—Autodesk’s powerful AEC platform that connects design, make, data, and people across the entire product development lifecycle, from concept to construction to operations.

To ensure success, you will be expected to work collaboratively and independently,locallyand globally. You understand how tofacilitatethe balance between tactical and strategic design priorities. You have solid negotiation and consensus building abilities needed to gaincross-disciplinaryleadership alignment. This role is remote-friendly within Canada. For those who prefer in-office or hybrid, the role canbe in Toronto, ON, Vancouver, BC, or Montreal, QC.

Travel requirements will be approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

Advocate for customer-centric, data-driven, and dynamic experiences that cross product and platform boundaries and align to business strategy

Drive your team to articulate an innovative design point of view and evaluate alternate design approaches, considering the cost of implementation and the value to customers

Develop high-performing teams on sizeable cross-functional and cross-organizational projects while managing stakeholders, risk, and uncertainty

Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and other design disciplines ensuring a frictionless development process and high-quality outcomes

Provide coaching, mentorship, and career stewardship for a team of user experience design professionals including interaction design, design architecture, content (learning) experience, user research, analytics, etc.

Be a thought leader, staying informed of emerging technologies and trends, to drive innovation and deliver a cohesive and industry leading customer experience

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years of experience across a variety of UX disciplines with 5+ years of global people management experience

Proven track record building AI-assisted or agentic experiences at scale.

Fluency in emerging software technology and the impact AI can have on critical user journeys (CUJs)

Design thinking skills and mastery of distilling highly complex ideas into a concise impactful manner

Demonstrated leadership that supports and enables your team to effectively deliver to strategic objectives, developing skills, and structuring and hiring for future success

Ability to influence, partner cross-functionally and champion design direction that aligns with strategic goals

Previous creation and delivery of UX team strategies that directly impact product or platform deliverables and delight customers

Salary transparency Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $169,000 and $247,500. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
