The Opportunity You don’t just design systems — you shape how technology enables an entire organization to move forward. You’re technically a visionary. As a Senior Technology Architect, you’ll play a critical leadership role in defining and executing AMA’s enterprise architecture strategy across software development, integration, data, infrastructure, AI, and security. Reporting to the Principal Software Architect and working closely with other technology leaders and business stakeholders, you’ll translate architectural vision into execution paths that support AMA’s strategic goals. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of strategy, architecture, research, and delivery — influencing direction, mentoring leaders, and ensuring AMA’s platforms are scalable, secure, and future-ready. Responsibilities

Lead and execute AMA’s Enterprise Architecture strategy across all architecture domains Define and implement execution paths for architecture roadmaps aligned to business goals Collaborate with architects and technology leaders to define, refine, and prioritize Intentional Architecture Enabler Epics using SAFe Participate in and influence Architecture Steering Committee decisions Drive architecture PoCs and pilots that validate emerging technologies and approaches Establish, evolve, and enforce architecture governance, standards, and documentation Ensure compliance with security, privacy, responsible AI, and regulatory requirements Mentor architects and senior technologists, fostering a culture of technical excellence Stay ahead of trends by researching and evaluating emerging technologies (AI, cloud-native, IoT, edge, GenAI, and multi-agent computing) Qualifications

University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of progressive experience in software development and architecture 3+ years of experience in integration architecture and API management Hands-on experience across multiple architecture domains (application, integration, data, infrastructure, security, AI) Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing Experience with modern development stacks and languages (C#, Java, .NET, Node.js, TypeScript) Solid understanding of observability, security, and cloud platforms Bonus Points If You Have

Experience with agile enterprise architecture Cloud experience (AWS preferred) SAFe Architect or related certifications Progressive leadership experience influencing large, cross-functional teams Belonging Matters Here
