Job Description
Overview
The Opportunity
You don’t just design systems — you shape how technology enables an entire organization to move forward. You’re technically a visionary. As a Senior Technology Architect, you’ll play a critical leadership role in defining and executing AMA’s enterprise architecture strategy across software development, integration, data, infrastructure, AI, and security. Reporting to the Principal Software Architect and working closely with other technology leaders and business stakeholders, you’ll translate architectural vision into execution paths that support AMA’s strategic goals. This is a unique opportunity to operate at the intersection of strategy, architecture, research, and delivery — influencing direction, mentoring leaders, and ensuring AMA’s platforms are scalable, secure, and future-ready.
Responsibilities
Lead and execute AMA’s Enterprise Architecture strategy across all architecture domains
Define and implement execution paths for architecture roadmaps aligned to business goals
Collaborate with architects and technology leaders to define, refine, and prioritize Intentional Architecture Enabler Epics using SAFe

Establish, evolve, and enforce architecture governance, standards, and documentation
Ensure compliance with security, privacy, responsible AI, and regulatory requirements
Mentor architects and senior technologists, fostering a culture of technical excellence
Stay ahead of trends by researching and evaluating emerging technologies (AI, cloud-native, IoT, edge, GenAI, and multi-agent computing)
Qualifications
University degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
5+ years of progressive experience in software development and architecture
3+ years of experience in integration architecture and API management
Hands-on experience across multiple architecture domains (application, integration, data, infrastructure, security, AI)
Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
Experience with modern development stacks and languages (C#, Java, .NET, Node.js, TypeScript)
Solid understanding of observability, security, and cloud platforms
