The Opportunity Innovate and Lead

- In this role, you'll be at the forefront of designing and delivering electrical systems that power critical infrastructure for communities. Based in our downtown Vancouver office, you'll lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver solutions that matter.

Your Impact

Design power distribution, generation, and substation systems for industrial plants, pump stations, and water treatment facilities.

Perform load calculations and use modelling tools to size transformers, generators, switchgear, MCCs, and other electrical equipment.

Develop electrical models using ETAP and EasyPower for power flow, short circuit, arc flash, and harmonics analysis.

Produce detailed drawings and diagrams, including single‑line, three‑line, grounding layouts, and control schematics.

Lead internal technical reviews and ensure compliance with codes and standards such as CEC, IEEE, NFPA, and NEMA.

Manage projects from design through construction, including contract administration and field reviews.

Mentor junior staff and contribute to expanding WSP's industrial electrical service offerings.

The Skills That Set You Apart

10+ years of electrical consulting design experience in the industrial sector.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng designation in British Columbia.

Expertise in low- and medium‑voltage systems, including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and VFDs.

Proficiency in ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower for power system studies.

Knowledge of industrial automation and communication protocols (Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, DeviceNet).

Familiarity with Metro Vancouver engineering and drafting standards is an asset.

Valid driver's licence with a clean abstract.

Compensation BC, AB, SK, NWT & NT:

$135,200 - $179,100

MB & ON:

$123,300 - $169,800

Atlantic Provinces & QC:

$122,100 - $162,200
