Job Responsibilities

Administration of delivery systems to ensure accurate delivery of our product to our Customers.

Participate in advanced quality planning activities, as needed.

Maintain routing and releasing information for all Customers.

Review customer releases and material schedules for verification of ACCUMs and the ability to ship their requirements on time.

Investigate issues, and develop and implement solutions to ERP related activities.

Update TS documents when changes occur to procedures that are implemented.

Assess and present solutions through use of ERP systems.

Initiate and lead ERP related projects and provide day‑to‑day support.

Collaborate with various business units in the organization to facilitate the implementation of new or improved reporting processes and functions.

Implement newly created functions and reports.

Identify and resolve systems issues using ERP solutions.

Maintain current knowledge and understanding of ERP applications.

Assist users in resolving problems and answer questions with minimal supervision.

Interpret users’ problems over the phone and respond with solutions.

Set up Item Master records in ERP to support Engineering Changes and/or New Launch Programs.

Set up Part Routing and Part Bill of Materials in ERP system in support of Part Setup Team.

Support Event‑Based Production Manager Touchscreen Shop Floor Reporting in all aspects from implementation, training and continuous improvement.

Ensure full compliance with all administrative requirements within MDV.

Ensure the work area is kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.

Report all incidents or accidents that may cause damage or injury.

Observe all Federal/Provincial Regulations including standards for safe working conditions as outlined in the Occupational Health & Safety Act and in Policies and Procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Participate in continuous improvement / suggestion programs.

Attend all scheduled training/meetings and bring forward any questions at that time to your Supervisor/Designee.

Identify opportunities and participate in continuous improvement of materials processes.

Continuously strive to improve through self‑development.

Perform other assignments as requested by management and alert your Supervisor/Designee of problems or slowdown in the work area so additional duties can be assigned.

Provide coverage for Customer Service or other Material Control Staff to balance workload and/or vacation coverage as required.

Provide backup to other Materials Control Staff as required.

Other Tasks

Continuously adhere to and apply the Magna Employee’s Charter, the Magna Corporate Constitution, and the Magna Operational Principles in all aspects of the position and interaction with others.

Use MDV’s Escalation Process effectively.

Comply with IATF customer requirements.

Attend all scheduled meetings and training.

Understand and follow established rules, procedures and policies relating to the position.

Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and following all safety policies and procedures.

Other duties that may be assigned.

Education And Qualification

3 to 5 years of industrial experience within production planning disciplines.

Post‑secondary education in Engineering and/or Business Administration, or equivalent related experience.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory control practices, and delivery/routing systems.

Proficient in industry‑specific applications, EDI, Associated Mapping Tools and EPICOR ERP (Formerly CMS).

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).

Good command of the English language, both verbal and written, and the ability to communicate to the customer.
