Make an impact with our IndigenousServices team as a Manager, Assurance & Accounting. MNP is a leadingnational accounting, tax and business consulting firm for Indigenousgovernments, businesses and entrepreneurs in Canada. With more than 250Indigenous clients and 300 team members dedicated to this sector, no other firmhas invested as much time and resources into serving the unique needs ofIndigenous communities.
Responsibilities
Lead client facing engagementteams to complete audits, compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internalcontrols and financial/accounting transactions
Deliver industry and technicalexpertise in audit and assurance through client interactions, reports,technical work, management presentations and high-qualitydeliverables
Manage a portfolio of clientswhile understanding their business, key risks and ways to deliver added value;ensure clients’ needs are met and that relationships and accounts grow anddevelop
Accountable for engagementplanning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS,timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
Maintain quality control andapply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevantto the client’s business, financial entries and reports
Network in the local businesscommunity, consider business development opportunities and contribute to thepreparation and delivery of competitive proposals to meet clientneeds
Mentor, motivate and coach team memberstowards professional and personal development by setting clear expectations,providing feedback and conducting performance reviews
Maintain flexibility to travel,as necessary
Skills and Experience
Experience working with FirstNations communities considered an asset
CPA designation
4 to 6 years of relevant publicaccounting experience
Strong understanding of business,accounting, management and practice development principles
Proven people management,relationship building and leadership skills

Compensation range for thisposition is $72,000 - $105,000. Compensation is determined based on individualskills and relevant experience.
