Rogers Communications is currently looking for a Senior Manager, Telecom Service Revenue to oversee the Wireless and Cable controllership portfolios.
What you’ll do:
Effectively manage, coach and develop a team of 7 hard‑working individuals, including 2 direct reports
Responsible for complete, accurate and timely reporting for Wireless & Cable service revenue, cost of sales, and bad debt accounting in accordance with IFRS accounting standards
Oversee preparation and review of working capital budgeting/forecasting
Oversee team preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and working capital variance analysis for internal reporting
Review balance sheet reconciliations for balances related to service revenue, cost of sales, and allowance for doubtful accounts
Develop and maintain relationships with all customer groups to ensure all material transactions are recorded
Act as subject matter expert for cross‑functional product launches and billing system changes, ensuring all accounting entries and reporting are developed to support the close process
Responsible for all external, internal and any other audit requirements and maintenance of relationship with all auditors
Responsible for effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy of financial controls including Sox compliance
Develop and implement process improvements, including automation, to create efficiencies and ensure adequate documentation is maintained
What you’ll bring:
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
5‑10 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and accounting
Extensive knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
Specific experience working with IFRS 15 is an asset
Excellent software skills in MS Office and Oracle Financial Systems
Big Data and workflow automation software skills are an asset, including Alteryx, Databricks, etc.
