The
Director of Finance
will oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis, reporting, risk management, and capital allocation to ensure strong financial health and support sustainable growth. The Director of Finance will serve as a key advisor to the CEO and leadership team, driving financial strategy, operational efficiency, and long‑term value creation.
You will lead a lean, high‑performing team, including a FinOps team with a Finance Manager, and drive tax reporting, contract governance and redlines, as well as oversee forecasting and AP functions. We serve 30 separate Constellation‑owned Vertical Market Software (VMS) businesses today with our sights set on supporting payments for the Constellation ecosystem.
Strategic Finance & Leadership
Partner with the CEO and executive team on strategic decision‑making, M&A activity, and capital structure optimization
Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives
Evaluate operational systems, staffing levels/performance and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvements to structure, resources, policies, and procedures.
Lead, mentor, and build a lean but high‑performing finance team
Own forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling
Provide actionable insights on revenue, expenses, margins and cash flow
Build and maintain dashboards and KPIs to support executives and operational leaders
Accounting & Reporting
Oversee timely and accurate financial statements, regulatory filings, and compliance
Ensure robust internal controls, audit readiness, and adherence to GAAP/IFRS standards
Oversee tax compliance and reporting function for the Portfolio.
Ensure full compliance with corporate and external audit requests as periodically required.
Certify quarterly financial statements and internal control compliance checklists for submission to Corporate Head Office.
Manage treasury, working capital, and liquidity
Assess and mitigate risks across financial, operational, and compliance areas
Oversee financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and data integrity
Job Qualifications
CPA, CFA, or MBA strongly preferred
8-12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in FP&A, financial modeling, and strategic planning.
Experience in software/SaaS, FinTech, or payments is a strong asset
Exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) is desirable.
Sound understanding of contracting terms and conditions and the assessment of commercial risk and implications on accounting treatment.
Highly computer literate, with expertise in accounting and management software.
Personal Characteristics

High degree of personal initiative and the ability to interact with non‑financial managers and employees at all levels.
Flexibility and recognizes the need to accommodate and support various time zones.
Occasional travel as required to support a global company setting and remote working. A strong desire to learn and grow in support of the expansion of CPP over the next 3 years.

Salary & Performance Incentives
Target Compensation: The total annual compensation for this role is estimated between $150,000 and $200,000 CAD.
Compensation Structure: This range includes both the base salary and eligibility for company‑wide annual performance incentives or bonuses. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
