This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Accounting Manager. In this role, you will oversee and develop an accounting team to ensure accurate financial records and regulatory compliance. Your expertise will drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency. You will collaborate cross‑departmentally, manage reconciliations and audits, while actively contributing to strategic initiatives. Accountabilities
Oversee and develop the accounting team, including performance evaluation and coaching.
Review all accounting entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger account reconciliations.
Analyze accounting practices and recommend efficiencies to ensure integrity of the general ledgers.
Manage external and regulatory audits, providing requested materials as needed.
Document policies and procedures for assigned responsibilities and other businesses.
Assist in planning & analysis, and tax functions on a routine basis.
Perform ad hoc financial and operational analyses and contribute to special projects.
Requirements
7 years of relevant work experience, including leadership.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
CPA license preferred.
Strong verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a deadline‑driven environment.
Proficiency in major accounting software and Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Experience with system conversion and acceptance testing methodologies.
Good understanding of financial reporting controls (e.g. SOX) framework.
