About the Role We are looking for a Technical Lead with expertise in Subsea Controls to join our Subsea Integrated Systems (SIS) team!

In This Role Specializing In Subsea Controls, You Will

Lead the development of products and systems with a focus on innovative and reliable designs as well as project support for cost, schedule, and reporting.

Lead design processes and approve related technical documents for products and projects while supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Lead technical support and training for customers, sales teams, and other in‑house groups as required. This could extend to field support.

Lead integration of electronics, firmware, and software into SIS projects.

Lead, mentor, and train small groups of designers/technicians during product development.

Provide inputs on budgeting, resource requirements and design tools.

Stay current with industry practices for electronics design, fiber optics, common protocols, software interfaces, mechanical needs (e.g., packaging, thermal design), and environmental specifications, and especially subsea control system requirements.

Work directly with customers to determine product requirements while adhering to applicable standards, certification requirements, and testing plans.

Assist sales activities including assessment of technical feasibility, customer requirements and specifications; assistance with quotations, proposals, and promotional materials; and participation in trade shows and customer/partner visits as required, which may involve travel.

Adhere to the Company’s quality plan and provide inputs where required.

Participate in other Company project and product developments, particularly related to areas of expertise.

What You Bring

A Degree in Electrical Engineering with 7 or more years of directly relevant experience, typically 10 years with 5+ years related to ruggedized electronics and/or controller products.

Design experience and skill in electronics, embedded systems, AC/DC power, and software, including related CAD and ECAD tools.

Experience in code specification, testing, and debugging.

Experience with communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, RS‑232/485/422, CAN Bus, I2C, SPI).

Design experience for high reliability based on subsea control standards, such as API 17F.

Experience working on subsea control projects or similar types of systems.
