Programming Electrical Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a skilled and versatile Electrical Engineer / Technologist to join our client’s Corporate Engineering team. This role plays a critical part in supporting multiple manufacturing plants by improving production efficiency, modernizing legacy systems, and driving automation initiatives. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, technically strong, and comfortable working across sites, bringing deep expertise in electrical design, PLC programming, and industrial automation, along with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

Support and optimize electrical and automation systems across multiple manufacturing facilities Upgrade and modernize legacy equipment and control systems Design, troubleshoot, and commission electrical panels, switchgear, and control systems Develop, modify, and maintain PLC and HMI programs Lead and support automation and process improvement projects Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve safety, reliability, and production efficiency Travel to U.S.-based facilities approximately 1–2 times per quarter Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technologist qualification) 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong PLC programming and HMI development experience Hands‑on experience with Allen‑Bradley platforms Experience working with switchgear, electrical panels, and industrial control systems Proven ability to troubleshoot complex electrical and automation issues Willingness and ability to travel to the United States 1–2 times per quarter
