Role Summary We have a fantastic opportunity for an Account Executive to join our Engineering, Automotive, Food Production & Finance sales team. You’ll be responsible for driving new business growth by identifying, engaging, and closing opportunities with tech and energy organizations.

This is a consultative, outbound-focused AE role, selling our innovation intelligence platform to help clients accelerate R&D, navigate complex IP landscapes, and bring products to market faster. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation and deal closure, collaborating closely with marketing, SDRs, and account management teams to drive revenue.

Success in this role requires a strong understanding of the life sciences industry, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling value for both scientific and commercial stakeholders. It’s an ideal opportunity for an early‑career AE looking to develop quickly, earn early, and build a strong foundation in a high‑impact industry.

This is a hybrid position in our Downtown Toronto office. This role has the option to work hybrid throughout the week (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays mandatory) or fully in office.

What You’ll Be Doing

Analyze your territory and convert opportunities into growth

Exceed sales targets and KPIs consistently

Manage and convert the pipeline with accurate reporting

Prospect through various channels and convert leads into opportunities

Effectively handle sales processes via phone, Zoom, and in‑person interactions

Develop a strong understanding of Patsnap’s offerings and the evolving IP service/software industry

About You

Possess strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills

A proven track record of exceeding targets

1+ years of sales/closing experience in SaaS organizations

Familiar with value‑based sales methodologies such as SPICED

Successful engagement with senior stakeholders and managing complex sales processes

Background in the Innovation/IP solutions industry with additional language proficiency is a plus

The annual base salary for this role is $70,000–$80,000 CAD, depending on experience. This position offers a 50/50 compensation structure (base salary and commission), with on‑target earnings (OTE) ranging from $140,000–$160,000 CAD. Commission is uncapped.
