Senior Automation Tester - Silicon Platform Validation (Canada, Ontario)

Job Summary As a Senior Automation Tester specializing in Silicon Platform Validation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software code through rigorous testing practices. This position involves collaborating with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute test plans, contributing to the overall success of software projects, and ensuring that client requirements are met with high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

Create and review test cases based on functional specifications and software requirement specification documents to ensure comprehensive coverage of testing scenarios in Silicon Platform Validation.

Execute functionality tests according to the test plan and respective test cases, utilizing automation scripts developed in Python to enhance testing efficiency.

Actively contribute to the development of test plans, applying strong understanding of Silicon Platform requirements and validation processes to ensure alignment with project objectives.

Coordinate discussions with team members to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure smooth progress of testing activities while interacting with clients for project updates and feedback.

Schedule tasks effectively and report on testing progress, utilizing project management tools to maintain visibility and track deliverables.

Skill Requirements

Strong understanding of Silicon Platform validation methodologies.

Proficient in automation testing using Python scripting.

Familiarity with test case creation and review processes.

Good understanding of functional specification documents and software requirement specifications.

Experience coordinating with cross‑functional teams and client interaction.

Other Requirements

Optional but valuable certifications: ISTQB Certified Tester, Python Institute certifications (PCAP).
