Key Responsibilities
Deliver large, complex conveyance projects throughout Ontario and across Canada.
Plan, direct, and monitor all project phases—from proposal through detailed design and construction—handling technical complexity with minimal direction.
Technically lead and support municipal conveyance infrastructure projects (water mains, sewers, culverts, etc.) using established standards and software.
Lead the development of engineering studies, reports, drawings, specifications, contract documents, proposals, and cost estimates.
Mentor intermediate and junior staff and contribute to business‑development strategy.
Assist clients and internal teams as a subject‑matter expert, drawing on our technical pool to shape project design.
Participate in client and project meetings in Toronto, Kitchener, or Ottawa (average 2 days a week) and travel as required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering (or equivalent).
Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a professional engineer in Ontario.
12+ years of directly applicable experience with municipal clients in engineering or project‑management roles.
Demonstrated ability to lead client‑facing engagements, develop proposals, and drive business‑development strategy.
Strong ability to leverage existing client relationships to secure new opportunities.
Proficiency in technical design, writing, and verbal communication related to municipal water and wastewater infrastructure.
Proven experience managing project schedules, budgets, change orders, and invoicing.
Preferred Experience
Strong experience in report writing and proposal preparation, including leading pursuit efforts.
Established network and relationships with local municipalities and public‑sector clients across Ontario.
Design and project‑management experience serving as the Engineer of Record for water and wastewater infrastructure.
Experience managing and coordinating multiple disciplines on small to large projects, successfully managing scope, schedule, and budget.
Experience with trenchless design methods such as HDD, TBM, and MTBM (beneficial).
Experience in condition assessment and rehabilitation (beneficial).
Experience leading alternate delivery pursuits and projects (beneficial).
Compensation
Posted Salary Range Minimum: CA$155,000.00
Posted Salary Range Upper: CA$230,000.00
