The payroll Officer is responsible for the administration of clients’ payroll processing. Our outsourced environment provides opportunities to deliver payroll services to clients with a team-based approach, offering diversity, learning opportunities and long-term career options that cannot be found in in-house payroll roles. This is an ideal next step for an experienced payroll officer looking to broaden their skillset and capabilities. What you’ll get to do

Adhere to all Information Security Standards Policies and Procedures. Abide by Dayforce’s Code of Conduct, Values and Policies and Procedures. Maintain personal data and customer support databases to ensure systems reflect current information. Provide accurate and timely payroll services including: End of period payroll reconciliation & reporting. Single Touch Payroll reconciliation and lodgement including final STP events. Answer incoming telephone calls, log requests and assist with customer queries. Attend team meetings and provide feedback and input on operational issues. Participate in team learning and information sharing. Meet all payroll deadlines as specified and agreed by Dayforce and Client. End-to-end payroll processing as directed, ensuring compliance regarding legislative requirements. Conduct analysis, problem solving and testing as appropriate/required for effective payroll delivery. Provide accurate and timely first round reconciliation of payroll processes including main pays and off-cycle payments including superannuation, tax and payroll tax where applicable. Provide assistance and support for queries from the client in payroll and use of aPay (Ascender Pay) Web Self Service. Provide assistance with the delivery of information to meet client report requirements via ad‑hoc reporting. Skills and experience we value

2+ years of end-to-end payroll processing experience in a busy environment. Experience with aPay (Ascender Pay) is a strong advantage but not mandatory - system training provided. Track record of successful delivery of timely and accurate payroll services. Experience with complex payroll calculations e.g., terminations/redundancies. Strong knowledge and up-to-date awareness of payroll legislation and awards. Excellent customer service - previous experience working in an outsourcing environment highly regarded but not required. Strong analytical skills and intermediate Excel skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
