The Opportunity
TuxMat is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to lead financial operations and provide strong, reliable financial insight to the leadership team. This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works in close partnership with the CEO. This role is responsible for strengthening reporting and controls, building disciplined financial processes, and supporting operational and strategic decision-making in a manufacturing and distribution environment.

What You’ll Be Accountable For
Financial Leadership & Strategy
Provide strategic financial leadership and decision support to the CEO and COO
Partner with leadership on financial planning, hiring decisions, capital investments, and risk management
Translate financial data into clear, actionable insight to support fast, informed decision-making.
Reporting, Forecasting & Controls
Own end-to-end financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
Lead a timely, accurate monthly close process with clear variance analysis
Ensure integrity of financial statements and compliance with applicable accounting standards
Strengthen internal controls, policies, and financial governance as the business continues to scale
Operational & Manufacturing Finance
Deliver cost, margin, and working-capital analysis to support operational efficiency
Partner closely with operations and supply chain teams to support cost discipline and efficiency initiatives
Support cash-flow management and working-capital optimization in a growing operating environment
Team & Stakeholder Leadership
Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team, including oversight of accounting and bookkeeping
Act as primary liaison with external auditors, advisors, banks, and financial institutions
Establish finance as a proactive business partner, not a reporting bottleneck
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA, or CMA preferred)
10+ years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles
Proven ability to translate accounting and operational data into Power BI dashboards for leadership reporting
Strong familiarity with finance system data structures, connectors, and reporting automation
Strong background in operational and manufacturing finance; cost accounting experience preferred
Experience building, scaling or maturing finance functions in entrepreneurial or high-growth environments
Advanced financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting expertise
Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional partnership skills
Comfort operating in environments with evolving systems, processes, and priorities
