Legal Recruitment Consultant at BJRC Recruiting In-House Litigation Counsel (Fully Remote – Ontario Based)

Our client, a sophisticated family office and technology-focused investment company, is seeking an exceptional In-House Litigation Counsel to lead and manage ongoing and emerging disputes across its portfolio.

This is a rare, fully remote opportunity (with court appearances in Toronto) to work on high-impact commercial matters while partnering closely with an elite executive team.

What You’ll Do:

Strategically manage commercial disputes from inception through resolution

Lead complex matters on the Commercial List

Determine trial strategy, draft and review all documents, and appear in court yourself

Advise on corporate governance and securities-related issues, where applicable

Report directly to senior leadership with concise, business-focused recommendations

Champion risk mitigation and efficient dispute workflows

What We’re Looking For:

6+ years of litigation experience at a leading firm or equivalent in-house environment

Trial experience with reported decisions, and a record of successful litigation outcomes

Unshakeable in high-pressure environmentsImpeccable client service orientation, able to translate legal risk into business strategy, whilst following client requirements

Experience leading matters before the Toronto Commercial List

Positive, solution-oriented attitude with executive-level communication skills

Ontario-based (court work is Toronto-centric)
