Sr. Platform Engineer -remote

Job Responsibilities

The Data Platform Support Engineer will be responsible for operational support, monitoring, and stability of an enterprise‑scale AWS‑based data lakehouse platform

supporting real‑time and batch data pipelines built on Confluent Kafka, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, Apache Airflow, dbt, and Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio.

The role involves L1/L1.5 support for ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and analytics workloads, including troubleshooting failed Glue jobs, dbt runs, Airflow DAGs, Kafka connectors, and SageMaker pipelines, while ensuring data availability, reliability, and performance.

The engineer will manage access and security using AWS IAM, monitor platform health and costs, respond to incidents and alerts, perform root‑cause analysis, and collaborate with engineering, cloud, and analytics teams to resolve issues and implement platform improvements in a secure, scalable AWS lakehouse architecture.

Salary and Other Compensation The annual salary for this position is between CAD 63,000- CAD 99,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
