Introduction
The person to fill this role will work in Ottawa at the Canadian Armed Forces location at Carling Campus (on Moodie drive). They will join a team of professionals supporting the Canadian Forces health system, delivering minor and major enhancements, incident resolutions and infrastructure support. The candidate must be Ottawa area based, available to work onsite, eligible or already hold Secret clearance. Education must be in Canada or provide proof of foreign education. Candidates must meet a grid detailing required experience.
Your Role And Responsibilities
The Senior System Support Analyst will manage operations and implementation of the CFHIS solution security architectures, monitor system performance, identify and mitigate risks, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
10+ years in IM/IT, technical role.
18 months continuous experience leading team in installation, integration, configuration and maintenance of Citrix XenApp 6 or later.
3 years experience integrating 2+ information system components using HL7 message protocols.
3 years experience in implementing/operating information system security architectures.
3 years experience in information system troubleshooting.
Experience supporting commercial off-the-shelf software upgrades (reviewing release notes, planning releases to test environments and production, coordinating testing, post‑implementation support).
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Minimum 10 years in IM/IT technical role.
2 years continuous leading team in Citrix XenApp 6 or later deployment.
Experienced with VMWare and LPAR environments hosting Windows and AIX servers, integrated across multi‑platform ITI.
3+ years designing, developing and supporting integration of 2+ system components using HL7, Web Services, Biz Talk, MQ Series or Web Sphere.
3+ years continuous experience in implementing/operating security architectures (SIEM, Citrix Thin‑Client, PKI) over last 10 years.
Experience in troubleshooting with documented diagnosis, problem analysis and recommendations.
Previous client‑facing roles, excellent communication and leadership.
Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
Same as above.
