Job Description
Reporting to Vice President, LTL and Courier Operations, the selected candidate will be accountable for supporting the entire Terminal network across the Atlantic region, overseeing all operational activities and staff. The Director will lead the delivery of the perfect shipment—on time, incident free, cost effective, and with optimal equipment utilization. Success in this role requires developing and inspiring an engaged, high performing team while effectively managing people, implementing policies, and driving operational strategies that support Midland’s business objectives.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or related fields
12+ years’ experience in related field, including experience leading teams
Proven leadership and advanced technical proficiency across a wide range of analytics, data visualization tools, and related applications
Demonstrated ability to energize, empower, and engage both individuals and teams to drive strong performance and achieve results
Extensive experience leading teams through organizational change, ensuring alignment, resilience, and successful transitions
Strong background in project management, with proficiency in tools, methodologies, and effective prioritization and organization strategies
Exceptional management, communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills
Recognized for effective execution, strategic influence, and the ability to deliver high‑quality outcomes
Responsibilities
Responsible for achieving regional performance targets, including budgeted cost, safety, service, quality, and equipment utilization metrics across transport and courier operations
Support business growth initiatives by partnering effectively with the Sales team to ensure new customer onboarding aligns with Midland’s operational and service capabilities
Lead the execution of assigned initiatives, driving change management activities and ensuring successful implementation across the region
Demonstrate strong leadership aligned with Irving Values, championing the Irving Management System and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Manage and guide direct reports to meet or exceed budgeted performance expectations while ensuring high levels of employee engagement across the region
Develop, coach, and mentor Terminal leaders, building a capable, engaged, and high‑performing regional operations team
