Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Planning & Reporting, the Research Analyst participates in major analytical and research projects and independently manages smaller‑scale research projects. The role involves a variety of research‑related responsibilities, such as organizing and coordinating research interviews and focus groups.
Salary: $69,788.32 - $79,468.49 Annually
Short‑term (approximately 1 year) full‑time.
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in social sciences, or in a relevant subject field.
Sound experience with relational databases, data analytics, and data visualization. Graphic design is an asset.
1‑3 years experience as a data analyst or similar role.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of research methodology principles, practices and process.
Knowledge of social housing and social policy is an asset.
Extensive knowledge of Excel, Word and Power BI.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop research documents, including literature and scoping reviews.
Ability to learn and apply departmental policies and the Commission’s mandate.
Ability to extract, summarize and analyze data.
Ability to plan, organize and manage research projects.
Ability to meet deadlines and identify key milestones or measures of success.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
