We are looking for a Head of Tax Transformation who will lead BDO Canadaโs Tax digital transformation strategy, aligning Taxโs operational transformation with the firmโs Innovation & Change (I&C) agenda and embedding AI, automation, data analytics, and digital tools into client delivery, operations, and business development.
Key Objectives
Develop and execute a Tax Transformation Roadmap that drives operational efficiency, client value, and profitability.
Champion the adoption of AI and digital solutions across all service lines within Tax.
Partner with firmwide Innovation & Change to align with BDO Canadaโs strategic priorities.
Foster a culture of transformation โ empowering Tax professionals to innovate, experiment, and improve.
Work with Service Line leaders to identify and build new digitally enabled service offerings.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Define the Tax Transformation strategy, linking digital adoption to business outcomes and ROI.
Digital Implementation: Lead integration of automation, data analytics, and AI into Tax operations and service delivery.
Innovation Execution: Coordinate with the firmโs Innovation & Change team to prioritize initiatives, manage pilots, and ensure alignment.
Measurement & Reporting: Establish success metrics and report progress to Tax Senior Leadership on ROI, efficiency, and adoption.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a matrixed organization.

ROI and efficiency improvements from digital transformation initiatives.
Implementation success of Tax Transformation Roadmap milestones.
Cultural adoption and use of AI/digital tools across the Tax Service Line.
Alignment of Tax transformation initiatives with the firmโs I&C strategy.
