The Opportunity We are seeking a

Vice President of Construction

for a newly created role that will serve as the foundation of our construction team in Toronto, providing executive leadership and oversight of development and construction operations across Ontario.

Reporting to the Senior VP and the CEO, the Vice President of Construction will be responsible to for establishing construction strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will serve as a senior authority on construction execution and act as a key advisor to ownership throughout all phases of development.

In this role, you will act as the owner’s lead representative responsible for managing the development and construction execution phases of high‑rise multi‑family residential developments ranging from $50M to $150M. The position reports directly to the Executive team and functions as the eyes and ears and mouthpiece of ownership on the ground, ensuring alignment between corporate objectives and project execution at every stage of the project.

The expected salary for this role is above $200,000 with final compensation determined by the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.

What You Bring...

Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.

Minimum 15 years of progressive construction leadership experience.

Demonstrated success delivering large‑scale multi‑family residential or mixed‑use developments.

Strong financial acumen with proven success in cost control and risk management.

Highly motivated self‑starter with strong problem‑solving skills.

Proven ability to manage time effectively, independently prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong communication and leadership skill.

You Will...

Lead the regional construction strategy supporting corporate growth objectives.

Provide executive input into development underwriting, budgeting, scheduling, and risk evaluation.

Establish scalable systems, standards, and best practices across all construction operations.

Provide executive oversight from pre‑construction through project completion and turnover.

Monitor and report on project delivery schedules.

Maintain and monitor project budgets and ensure robust cost control.

Identify, communicate and mitigate project risks.

Lead complex negotiations and support dispute resolution when required.

Ensure alignment between construction execution and investment performance objectives.

Champion a culture of safety across all projects.

Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulatory requirements, and corporate standards.

Oversee quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Act as the primary development and construction representative to executive leadership and ownership.

Maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, municipalities, and industry partners.
