Role summary The Regional Automation Manager will lead and develop a team of Rockwell product specialists and automation technical resources across the region. You will own business planning, sales execution, distributor-partner development and margin performance for our Rockwell Automation portfolio. This is a hands‑on leadership role combining Rockwell technical expertise with distribution and commercial experience. The Regional Automation Manager is responsible for covering North and Eastern Ontario (Oshawa to Ottawa and Northern Ontario including Sault Ste. Marie, Timmins and North Bay)

Key responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a regional team of Rockwell product specialists; recruit and build technical/commercial capability.

Build and execute the regional business plan for Rockwell products (PLCs, HMIs, drives, FactoryTalk, SCADA, safety, IIoT), setting targets for revenue, margin and key accounts.

Develop and maintain relationships with customers, system integrators and channel partners; coordinate with Rockwell representatives on promotions and technical alignment.

Support major bids and technical proposals with scoping and pricing guidance.

Provide technical oversight and ensure the team delivers pre-sales support, system architecture advice and lifecycle services.

Coordinate inventory planning, product availability and logistics with distribution teams; improve quoting, configuration and contract execution processes.

Ensure compliance with commercial policies, warranty processes and vendor programs.

Required qualifications

7+ years in industrial automation, with 3+ years in leadership.

Hands‑on experience with Rockwell Automation products (ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Allen‑Bradley PLCs, FactoryTalk, PanelView, drives, safety); Rockwell certifications preferred.

Experience in distribution or channel sales for automation products; understanding of inventory management and commercial KPIs.

Proven track record in regional business planning and hitting revenue/margin targets.

Experience with system integrators, OEMs and end‑users across industrial sectors.

Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Willingness to travel across Western Ontario and occasionally to vendor/corporate sites.

Able to Travel to the US for Training and meetings as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Leadership, commercial focus, technical credibility, relationship‑building and strategic execution.
