Director, Regulatory Affairs

in our North York office to lead the planning, development, and execution of strategic regulatory applications and initiatives. In this role, you will provide outstanding leadership across regulatory proceedings, collaborate with internal and external partners, and help guide Enbridge’s approach within a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment. What You Will Do

Lead and participate in regulatory proceedings, hearings, negotiations, and partner engagements.

Provide oversight and strategic guidance to the Ombuds and Claims functions.

Act as a regulatory subject matter expert, partnering with teams across Legal, Finance, Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Government Affairs, Customer Care, and Communications.

Develop, mentor, and support regulatory professionals to build strong analytical, writing, and advocacy capabilities.

Lead the development and resolution of corrective action plans in response to regulatory findings or enforcement actions.

Represent Enbridge at conferences, industry associations, and regulatory or industry working groups.

Provide expert testimony and oversee the preparation and performance of witnesses in proceedings.

Who You Are

Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in regulatory, utility, energy, or a related environment, including leadership roles of increasing responsibility.

A post-secondary degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Strong understanding of revenue requirements, cost of service, and rate design principles.

Experience preparing, filing, and participating in regulatory applications before energy regulators or comparable regulatory bodies.

Proven ability to work effectively with regulators and external partners across jurisdictions.

Outstanding communication and public‑speaking skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.

A collaborative leadership style with a track record of building trust and leading high‑performing, inclusive teams.

Working Conditions This role is on‑site, office‑based with occasional travel within Ontario.
