POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a General Manager to manage a rental building. If you are known for being a team player who enjoys taking on challenges, this position is perfect for you!

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration

Prepare information packets for customers

Prepare rental contracts

Produce required reports

Management

Coordinate the work of the housekeeping and maintenance teams

Effectively take and respond to complaints from the residents

Ensure information is disseminated throughout the complex

Ensure optimal management of your building

Ensure that business processes are effective and resident services are of a high quality

Establish quality standards that are in keeping with established norms

Manage rent collection and deposits according to established standards

Manage the different teams that offer services to the building

Perform staff assessment

Plan tenant arrivals and departures and see to the optimal execution of these activities while ensuring the safety and security of the building and its occupants

Provide a high level of customer service

Take appropriate action during any emergency situation that may arise in the establishment

Work to ensure that the teams skills and knowledge is updated and maintained

Work with the real estate manager / capital assets director and other team members to plan capital works and register files with the Régie du logement

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset

Good sense of interpersonal communication

Bilingualism both oral and written

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (an asset)

A working knowledge of the software system Hopem (an asset)

A working knowledge of real estate management
