Software Engineer III

Job Title: Software Engineer III Location: Toronto. One day a week but will go up to 3 when the new Toronto space is ready. Job Description:

Build our platforms and systems infrastructure using your strong background in distributed systems, network system design, and large scale database systems.

Research, analyze, design, develop and test the solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies

Participate in design discussions, code reviews and project related team meetings.

Work with other engineers, Architecture, Product Management, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and adherence to development principles and quality goals.

Develop technical & domain expertise and apply to solving product challenges.

Experience:

5 to 7 years of experience is required in Java based disturbed highly scalable e-commerce backed system design and development using Kafka, REST apis, no-sql and sql databases.

Computer language:

Java (Looking for strong Java skills with 5-7 years of hands‑on experience)

Must have skills:

Java, Kafka, REST APIs, No‑SQL, SQL Databases.

Worker type:

Hands on, Strong communication skills, proactive, good can‑do attitude, little hand holding

Compensation / Salary Range: The typical pay range for this role is: USD $40/Hourly - $45/Hourly. Factors that may affect pay within or outside of this range may include but not limited to geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
