We are seeking an accomplished
VP, Client Partner
to lead and grow strategic Retail/CPG accounts across Canada. The role requires a seasoned leader who can own executive relationships, drive multi-million-dollar portfolios, and deliver transformative digital, data, cloud, and AI-led outcomes for enterprise clients.
This is a quota-carrying, growth-focused role responsible for revenue, P&L, account health, and long-term client value.
Key Responsibilities
Account Ownership & Growth
Own and grow a portfolio of Tier-1 Retail/CPG clients in Canada.
Drive revenue expansion through new programs across digital transformation, cloud modernization, AI/ML, data platforms, supply chain, merchandising, and omnichannel solutions.
Identify whitespace, develop account strategies, and lead client roadmaps for multi-year growth.
Lead contract renewals, pricing, and commercial negotiations.
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the senior executive interface for CXO-level relationships (CIO, CDO, COO, Chief Merchandising Officer, Supply Chain leaders).
Act as a trusted advisor offering business, technology, and innovation insights contextualized to the Retail/CPG industry.
Shape and influence client priorities, operating models, and transformation programs.
Delivery & Governance
Oversee program governance across large-scale delivery engagements (ADM, AMS, cloud, data modernization, managed services, product engineering).
Partner with global delivery teams to ensure execution excellence, profitability, and SLA adherence.
Manage escalations, risk mitigation, and account health metrics.
Industry & Solution Leadership
Bring strong domain understanding across retail operations, store modernization, digital commerce, loyalty, category management, supply chain planning, and CPG trade promotions.
Collaborate with solution leaders to build industry-specific offerings and co-creation initiatives.
Support thought leadership, customer advisory sessions, and industry events.
Own account P&L, forecasting, pipeline, gross margin, and annual growth targets.
Drive proactive planning around staffing, delivery model optimization, and commercial levers to ensure profitable growth.
Required Experience & Qualifications
15+ years in the IT services industry with at least 7+ years in client partner / account management roles.
Proven success managing and growing multi-million-dollar portfolios (>$20–30M).
Strong background in Retail and/or CPG domain with knowledge of North American market dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders and manage large cross-functional programs.
Deep experience across digital transformation, cloud, analytics, AI/ML, and large-scale managed services.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation abilities, and executive communication skills.
Based in or willing to relocate to Toronto; ability to travel as needed within Canada and the U.S.
Preferred Skills
Experience with hyperscaler ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Exposure to industry platforms such as SAP Retail, Salesforce Commerce, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Adobe, etc.
Ability to lead cross-cultural teams across global delivery centers.
MBA or advanced degree (preferred, not mandatory).
