Report to the Director, Nexus, Client Delivery. Responsibilities include:

Providing the full range of fund accounting and administration services to private equity fund clients, including NAV preparation and review, custody servicing, investor record keeping, and reporting.

Managing a team of Fund Accountants in performing accounting and administration service delivery, and training staff on all aspects of the NAV process.

Co‑ordinating with banks, auditors, brokers and custodians to ensure smooth service delivery and completion of NAV.

Approving fee schedules, including calculation of management and carried interest, ensuring all calculations follow applicable fund documents.

Reviewing and approving investor allocations for each NAV cycle, waterfall calculations, custody trading documents, subscriptions and capital calls, and ensuring distributions are wired on time.

Working with the internal AML team and administrators to meet all AML requirements.

Responding to all client queries.

Reviewing and signing schedules, reports and files to ensure compliance with organization controls.

Allocating resources to ensure all work is completed and service level agreements are met.

Approving payment of fund expenses in applicable banking systems, ensuring controls are followed.

Assisting with the preparation and review of audited financial statements and annual audits.

Reviewing regulatory reporting.

Establishing fund or client–specific procedures covering all aspects of our services and ensuring cross‑training and coverage are in place.

Supporting the growth of the local office.

Generating ideas for improving the NAV process, technological enhancements, and client reporting.

Participating in multiple system initiatives and projects.

Qualifications:

Post‑secondary education or university degree with a concentration in finance or accounting.

Demonstrable experience in the fund administration industry, including experience managing staff (administrators, investment managers, or fund auditors).

In‑depth understanding of the private equity fund administration industry, covering multiple fund structures, fee calculations, financial instruments, and fund offering documentation.

High proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

Experience with fund accounting software such as Geneva, Investran, or Yardi, or working knowledge of Bloomberg.

Completion or active pursuit of a professional accounting designation (CA, CGA, CMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CFA, or equivalent).
