Job Description
Our Client, a Research, Care and Health Financing company, is looking for a Software Engineer for their Kitchener, ON/Hybrid location.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Precision Health Platform API engineering organization, you will build modular, composable, and interoperable components for our public platform APIs.
The Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices, as well as experience with a variety of programming languages and technologies, with particular emphasis on Go, Terraform, GCP and Apigee.
Develop, and test software applications.
Work with the team to implement solutions.
Write and maintain documentation for software applications.
Collaborate with other engineers and developers to ensure code quality and consistency.
Requirements
Experience: 3 - 10 years
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in software engineering
At least 5 years experience as a software engineer in an industry setting
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively
Expertise in building software and systems on any of: GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred)
Clear written communication, especially in design and architecture documents.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
3-5 years Experience
Expertise in building software and systems on any of: GCP, AWS or Azure (GCP preferred)
Strong understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Demonstrated experience with Go
Demonstrated experience designing and building customer-facing APIs
Demonstrated experience with Apigee or similar API gateway/proxy technologies
Education or exposure to healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on HL7 FHIR
