Role Summary The Investment Strategy Analyst supports the Multi-Asset Solutions team by conducting research, analyzing market and economic data, and contributing to strategic investment content and insights. This is a professional role suited to an analytically strong individual with foundational experience in macro investing, asset allocation, and multi-asset strategy. The role combines research, data analysis, writing, and presentation development, with increasing accountability for independent insight generation and selective client engagement over time.

What will you do?

Analyze global financial markets, economic data, and policy developments to support investment strategy insights.

Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, including macroeconomic and scenario analysis, to inform multi‑asset perspectives.

Produce clear, compelling written content such as research notes, market commentaries, and investment outlooks.

Create high‑quality presentation materials, charts, and visuals for internal forums and client‑facing use.

Manage and analyze data from multiple sources, maintaining research databases and analytical tools.

Partner with portfolio managers to align research with broader investment frameworks and initiatives.

What do you need to succeed?

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.

1-3 years experience in investment research, financial analysis, economics, or a relevant field.

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel, Bloomberg, Macrobond or other market data platforms a plus.

Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and multi‑tasking skills.

Progress towards or completion of professional certifications such as CFA preferred.

Key Competencies

Strong analytical mindset with an ability to interpret economic and market data.

Excellent communication skills to craft clear, professional research and presentation materials.

Comfort using AI tools to support data analysis, summarize research materials and enhance communication workflows.

Collaborative team contributor with the ability to work independently within defined mandates.

High level of curiosity about financial markets.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
