Occasional Teacher

Now recruiting for the 2025-2026 School Year! Qualified Occasional Teachers for daily supply across all schools in BGCDSB Qualifications/Requirements: Valid Certificate of Registration for Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) including Transitional Certificates. Applications will also be accepted where OCT Certificate is pending with completed Bachelor of Education or equivalent. Qualifications in at least two of Primary, Junior, Intermediate and Senior divisions. Qualifications in Special Education and/or Religious Education are an asset. A vulnerable sector check valid within 6 months from date of hire is a condition of hire with the Board. Long-term occasional opportunities may be available for application once accepted to our Occasional Teachers’ Roster.
