Oracle Fusion Finance Functional Consultant
Toronto, ON - Hybrid
Contract
Role Descriptions: Specialized Fusion Testing –
Test end-to-end business processes within and across Oracle Fusion modules (e.g. Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Hire-to-Retire, FAH, EPM (Planning-Financials, Workforce, Projects), Project Management).
Validate reports and analytics built using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI).
Test inbound and outbound integrations with other systems (e.g. EDI, SOAPREST APIs, PLSQL).
Analyze business requirements, functional design documents, and user stories to understand testing scope.
Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Define test data requirements and work with the team to have it prepared.
Estimate testing effort and contribute to project timelines.
Identify, record, document, and track defects meticulously using tools like JIRA, ALM, or OTBI.
Work with developers and functional consultants to isolate, replicate, and resolve defects.
Perform regression testing to ensure new configurations, patches, or integrations do not adversely affect existing functionality.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Business, Functional, Technical) to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Support business users during UAT, helping them understand test cases and log issues.
Create and maintain test documentation for knowledge sharing and audit purposes.
Provide clear and concise test summary reports and status updates to stakeholders.
Essential Skills
More than 6 years of proven experience as a QA Tester with a significant focus on Oracle Fusion Applications.
Hands‑on Experience on the following is required –
Financials (FSCM) General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), Cash Management, Expenses, FAH, Project Management.
Additional Experience
Procurement Purchasing Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and plans.
Solid knowledge of SQL for data validation and querying.
Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g. JIRA, HP ALM Quality Center, Zephyr).
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in –
