Engineering Manager – Municipal Projects Hybrid | Full-Time | Guelph, ON

Salary: $90,000 – $130,000

An established international clean technology organization is seeking a

Engineering Manager

to lead municipal engineering projects related to water, wastewater, and air treatment systems. This role focuses on managing engineering teams, overseeing project execution, and ensuring high-quality technical delivery across multiple municipal initiatives.

Schedule & Work Model

Hybrid: 3–4 days onsite in Guelph

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage a team of engineers and drafters on municipal design projects

Oversee engineering design, tender preparation, budgeting, and procurement activities

Review technical drawings, proposals, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance

Manage RFIs and support cost-reduction strategies across projects

Ensure designs meet safety standards and industry regulations

Provide technical guidance to internal teams and clients

Review consultant deliverables and advise on design and project direction

Troubleshoot technical issues and support successful project execution

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering

7+ years of experience leading engineering teams, preferably in municipal projects (water/wastewater/air systems)

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment (pumps, motors, fans, sensors, control systems)

Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications

Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and travel as needed

Valid driver’s license and passport

Willingness to travel within North America (a few days per month)
