Job Description On behalf of our client, Affinity is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to join the Enterprise Applications team to support the organizational suite of applications and project delivery. The Senior IT Business Analyst will help to maximize the performance of the organization through the implementation, improvement, and sustainment of leading‑edge tools and processes. This individual will also play an important role by working closely with the business on system product roadmaps, platform enhancements and project delivery. This includes assisting with design, documenting and analyzing business requirements, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of corporate and investment systems. The candidate should be someone with exceptional analytical skills who thrives working in collaborative and fast‑paced environments where the ability to think creatively to deliver solutions and results is essential.

Responsibilities

Plans and drives scoping, gap analysis, needs assessments, impact analysis, requirements definition and prioritization activities for enhancements and projects. Collaborates with stakeholders at all levels in the conduct of investigations for business requirements specifications, feasibility studies and business cases preparation. Challenges initiatives with business value in mind.

Ability to effectively convert the abstract into the concrete and translate into meaningful dialogue with distributed stakeholders.

Supports technology design and re‑design activities through interpretation and clarification of business requirements and processes and assesses impacts of changes to other functional processes and systems.

Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions and corrective actions whilst following procedures and processes.

Coordinates, supports and helps business users resolve day‑to‑day support issues including application software and operational systems.

Proactively and collaboratively engages with vendors to resolve incidents, problems, or unsatisfactory performance. Escalates appropriately.

Creates, documents and executes test cases to validate system changes and provide framework to support end user acceptance testing.

Acts as a liaison between the IT teams, lines of business and other stakeholders to understand business, change management and IT strategies and priorities.

Creates and advocates a “customer‑centric” culture in all team interactions.

Promotes teamwork and effectively networks across the organization to drive buy‑in, deliver estimation, support change and adoption.

Ensures system administration of applications is completed as required.

Lead and/or assist with system enhancements, coordinating system configurations and testing, and training end users when appropriate.

Facilitate and/or assist with the system selection process and support subsequent related activities, including implementation and sustainment.

Create and maintain user guides, manuals and other related materials.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field.

Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder and time management skills.

BI/visualization tools is an asset.

Experience with Agile/Scrum or hybrid project methodologies.

Comfortable with the unknown and the ability to adapt to change.

Proactive and analytical personality with strong sense of integrity, collaboration and commitment.

Understanding of the real estate business and key related business processes across multiple real estate asset classes (office, industrial, retail and development) as well as investment management and finance is an asset.

Ability to analyze and deconstruct complex business processes and identify optimization opportunities.

Experience with workflow/process design methodology is an asset.

Knowledge of change management or process improvement methodologies.

Top Skills Necessary

Business Analysis – 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst collaborating with stakeholders to understand business objectives, business process engineering, current / future / gap analysis, eliciting, analyzing, validating, and documenting business requirements, functional requirements, non‑functional requirements, processes, and business rules to drive business solutions.

ERP/CPM/EPM system experience – Have completed at least one enhancement, upgrade or implementation of any ERP system (D365, Netsuite, Acumatica, MRI, RealPage, JDE) or CPM/EPM system (Anaplan, Adaptive, TM1, SAP BPC).

Finance or Accounting project experience – Have completed at least one project related to Financial modelling, Valuations, debt forecasting, loan management, financial modernization/transformation or Accounting systems or processes.

Salary range: $100K – $125K
