We know what you are thinkingWHAT IS THE ROLE AND WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?
As a Software Engineer II, you design, build, and iterate on product features that deliver meaningful outcomes for our Pros. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, shipping small, incremental improvements while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and reliability. You contribute across the stack, working primarily in our Ruby on Rails application and React front end, with exposure to Android and iOS platforms.
In addition to feature development, you contribute to improving engineering workflows and developer experience within your team. You identify friction in testing, deployment, and local development processes and collaborate with peers to improve tooling, automation, and reliability. You grow as a full-stack engineer while gaining exposure to cloud-native patterns and modern development practices.

In your day to day, you will:
Design, develop, and test features within the Ruby on Rails application and React front end
Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand customer problems and translate them into technical solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that delivers customer value
Participate in code reviews to uphold engineering quality and share knowledge across the team
Deploy small, incremental improvements to production with confidence and ownership
Contribute to improvements in CI/CD workflows and automated testing practices
Identify and reduce friction in local development, debugging, and deployment processes
Leverage data and metrics to inform implementation decisions and measure feature impact
Rotate through and deepen expertise across backend, frontend, and mobile technologies
We think this role is for you if have...
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
24 years of professional software engineering experience
Experience with Ruby on Rails, JavaScript/React, SQL/RDBMS, iOS, or Android development
Proven ability to write meaningful, well-tested code that solves real customer problems
Familiarity with version control systems (i.e., Git) and CI/CD workflows
Exposure to cloud environments (i.e., AWS) and modern deployment practices

Our compensation range for this role begins at
$5500 USD per month
