Senior DevOps Engineer - Atlassian & CI/CD Administration

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Atlassian Cloud administration and CI/CD platform management. This role combines DevOps engineering, tool administration, AWS support, and real-time user support across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. Core Responsibilities Administer and troubleshoot Atlassian Cloud tools, primarily Jira and Confluence, including project configuration, custom fields, automation rules, and global administration. Manage and support Jenkins CI/CD platform, including server administration on AWS, pipeline troubleshooting, and optimization. Support additional DevOps and QA tools such as Postman, SonarQube, TestRail, and GitHub (including GitHub Actions). Provide customer-facing support via Jira ticketing system and Slack channels. Troubleshoot AWS infrastructure components including EC2 servers, Auto Scaling Groups, Load Balancers, and Security Groups. Manage Jira automations using Visual Builder and ScriptRunner scripting. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience with Atlassian Cloud administration (Jira and Confluence). Atlassian certification is a plus. Solid understanding of Jenkins administration and CI/CD best practices. Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure troubleshooting. Proficiency in Git and GitHub, including GitHub Actions. Scripting experience in Python or Node.js, with the ability to learn additional scripting languages as needed. Experience configuring and maintaining Jira automations and scripting tools. Strong communication and customer service skills for real-time support. Comfortable performing global administrator responsibilities with attention to risk and governance. Work Environment & Logistics Preferred working hours: 9 AM – 5 PM Eastern Time (flexible for US nearshore or Pacific Time). Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment. Willingness to collaborate cross-functionally and provide cross-coverage support. Exposure to DevOps and QA toolchains is highly beneficial.
