Overview We are seeking a highly experienced

Applications Architect

with strong expertise in application modernization and Azure PaaS platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of application architecture, cloud migration strategies, and modern hosting approaches, along with proven leadership experience guiding and managing technical teams. Key Responsibilities

Lead application architecture, design, and modernization initiatives for enterprise-scale applications. Modernize and migrate applications from on-premises or legacy platforms to

Azure PaaS . Host, configure, and optimize applications on

IIS

and Azure services. Design and implement solutions using

Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Container Instances . Analyze application architecture, dependencies, and integrations to define optimal migration pathways. Perform application performance assessments

before and after migration . Containerize web applications and services, and manage deployment on Kubernetes. Design

Azure Landing Zones

and define the Azure target-state solution architecture based on customer infrastructure landscapes. Collaborate with

Enterprise Architecture, Data Platform, DevOps, and Integration teams

to ensure cloud adoption aligns with best practices. Ensure solutions align with Azure strategy, business objectives, application and infrastructure requirements, and overall value realization. Lead and technically guide teams of

5+ members , providing mentorship and architectural direction. Work closely with internal teams, customers, and project managers to gather requirements and propose effective migration solutions. Prepare and deliver solution architectures, technical documentation, and presentations to stakeholders.

Primary Skills & Technical Expertise 13+ years of hands-on experience in

application development and modernization . Strong web application development experience. Hands-on experience developing and hosting applications on

Azure PaaS . Expertise in application hosting, configuration, and optimization on Azure. Strong understanding of

database connectivity and configuration . Proven ability to analyze application dependencies and integration points. Experience with containerization of frontend applications and web services. In-depth knowledge of hosting and operating containerized applications on

Kubernetes / AKS . Strong understanding of application migration scenarios, strategies, and pathways.

Secondary Skills Experience working with internal stakeholders, customers, and project managers to define migration requirements. Troubleshooting experience with Azure PaaS services. Basic to intermediate understanding of containerization and AKS operations.

Soft Skills Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships. Positive attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage and lead customer discussions and technical calls. Strong presentation skills for solution and architecture proposals. Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
