Structural Design Engineer (Tekla Structures)

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer with extensive experience in Tekla Structures to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for structural analysis, design, and 3D modeling of steel and/or reinforced concrete structures, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform structural analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures - Develop detailed 3D structural models using Tekla Structures - Design steel connections (bolted and welded) - Prepare GA drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details - Coordinate with architects, MEP teams, and contractors - Review fabrication drawings and ensure constructability - Conduct material take-offs and quantity estimation - Ensure designs comply with relevant building codes and standards - Provide technical support during fabrication and construction stages

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering - 3–8+ years of experience in structural steel design - Extensive hands-on experience with Tekla Structures - Strong understanding of structural analysis and load calculations - Experience with structural software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, etc.) - Knowledge of international design codes (AISC, Eurocode, BS, etc.) - Strong communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in industrial or high-rise steel structures - Knowledge of BIM workflows and clash detection - Experience working with fabrication teams - Professional Engineer (PE) license (if applicable)
