Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician I will provide technical expertise in all aspects of laboratory equipment. The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for following all regulatory requirements, maintenance procedures, common safe mechanical guidelines and good housekeeping practices while performing their duties. The Maintenance Technician I will give technical advice to users and staff regarding the proper use and care of lab equipment.

Essential Duties: General Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all laboratory equipment Maintain and operate Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS) Recommend new equipment to meet laboratory needs Assist in facility maintenance functions Maintain maintenance procedure files Monitor in-house (RO/DI) Water system Maintain in-house vacuum, air supply, and emergency power systems Regulatory Compliance Know and follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, . Know and follow company policies and procedures. Complete required training on time. Professionalism Attend work regularly and reliably. Adhere to all policies and procedures. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, keyboards, computer mouse, telephones, photocopiers, projectors and file cabinets. May occasionally work in temperatures above 95 degrees and below 32 degrees. May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. Will climb ladders and work off elevated surfaces on an occasional basis during each shift. Noise level in the work environment is frequently loud. Physical requirements: Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis and assist in moving heavy equipment, etc. More than 75% of time spent walking, lifting, or working on equipment. Wear personal protective equipment such as hoods, lab coats, safety glasses, goggles, gloves, facemasks, shoe coverings, and respiratory equipment as applicable. Climb up onto and down from equipment. Climb up and down ladder. Able to manipulate small hand tools. Education and experience requirements:

High School Diploma, . highly desirable OR equivalent with a minimum of two years maintenance experience/training.
